Kacey Musgraves Talks Helping Out A Small Photo Business In Los Angeles

Kacey Musgraves appeared on The Ellen Degeneres Show this week, where she sat down to chat about the success of her latest album, Golden Hour and her new Christmas special. She also shared a story about how she recently helped out a small business owner in Los Angeles' Koreatown.

In a clip shared from the interview, Musgraves explains that she and her sister were in the city and wanted to develop some photos last minute when they came across a family-run photo studio called Tom's One Hour Photo. The nearly 30-year-old business was at the time struggling financially.

Musgraves and her sister wanted to do more to help out so they decided to set up an Instagram account for the owner, Tom. The account quickly gained thousands of followers overnight, and ever since then, the business has been better than ever.

"I come from a household of small business owners," Musgraves explained. "My parents are, and I know firsthand what it's like when people choose to put their money there versus a place that might be more convenient or bigger."

Later on in the show, Musgraves took the stage to perform "Christmas Makes Me Cry," a song off her 2016 holiday album, A Very Kacey Christmas. The singer recently debuted a new Christmas song, "Glittery" on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Most recently, on November 29, Musgraves' new Christmas special premiered on Amazon Prime. The Kacey Musgraves Christmas Show features a variety of special guests, including Camila Cabello, Leon Bridges, Zooey Deschanel, Lana Del Rey, Kendall Jenner, and more. The new special is now streaming through Amazon Prime.
