In case you've been napping or whatever, here's what you've been missing on Netflix, and the reason I'm grumpy and running on 3 hours sleep.
For about a week now I've seen nothing but "OMG" and "DON'T WATCH IT" when articles or videos pop up about the new Netflix series "The Haunting of Hill House". Coming from a girl who loves the horror genre, those comments meant little to me. I couldn't wait to dive in and see what all the hyper was about, but I wanted to wait until I had time to devote to the series and not just turn it on and pass out, which I'm notorious for.
When I find a good one, I binge hard. OITNB, House of Cards, Making a Murderer 1 & 2, Ozark... all shows with hour long episodes and about 10-15 per season...that I binged over a weekend.
Look, I went into this completely skeptical. I love scary movies and watched the video above while laughing at how silly these people were being. Seriously? You're hallucinating now? You can't sleep because of a tv show?
Welp, that's what I get. This show was NOTHING like I expected. Not only was terrified but I swear I hear someone opening my basement door around 2AM and shortly after, my closet door opened. Not a joke.
Have you seen the show? I avoided as many spoilers as I possibly could and started with a fresh mindset but now, 6 episodes in, I'm so scared that I'm not sure I'm mentally sound enough to finish...
UPDATE:
I finished the show last night...
If you are wondering if it's worth finishing...YES. The answer is YES. It got softer in the last few episodes when some major questions that were integral to the plot line were revealed and I couldn't have been more satisfied with the ending at 4:10AM this morning when I finished it.
