First - you know I'm obsessed with Disney, so you have to know how stupid excited I am right now and how much I'm annoying everyone in the building with my singing.
DISNEY ANNOUNCED THE NEXT LIVE ACTION FILM!!! COMING MAY 24TH 2019..
ALADDIN!!!
The 2019 version, based on the story “Aladdin and the Magic Lamp” from The Book of One Thousand and One Nights, will feature not only the original classic tunes of its 1992 predecessor, but also NEW MUSIC from composer Alan Menken.
The film stars Mena Massoud in the title role, alongside Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine and Will Smith as the Genie. Disney has yet to release any teaser clips or trailers.
I'm clearly excited. However, a part of me cant help but look at that blue face and see Robin WIlliams...and also scream out "10 THOUSAND YEARS CAN GIVE YA SUCH A CRICK IN THE NECK!"
Losing Robin was very tough on me. I'm very open about my struggles with mental health, and when he was gone, I took it badly. Aladdin has always been a part of my childhood i remember with a smile, and it's certainly not because of the lead love interests. It was the Genie. I know Will Smith, whos is CRAZY talented, will do a great job, and I know the movie will be perfect. Well, almost. Cheers to our Genie. Cheers to our childhoods. Cheers to the new version that our kids will love as much as we love the old.
