Someone is calling residents in Jackson County claiming to be with the Sheriff’s Department. The caller claims they either owe outstanding fines, or have a warrant against them, and that they need to call the sheriff’s department for more information. Sheriff Mike Ezell says they don’t make these kinds of calls. If you get one, just hang up.
