Golf-O-Ween Drive, Chip & Putt Challenge at Whispering Pines Golf Course IS CANCELLED DUE TO ALL THE RAIN ON THE COURSE…On October 31, Jackson County’s Whispering Pines Golf Course is super-spooked to provide the Golf-O-Ween Drive, Chip & Putt Challenge for junior golfers. Youth age 6-18, of any skill level, are welcome to come drive, chip and putt their way through a variety of Halloween themed challenges beginning at 4:30 p.m. There will be a costume contest and candy for those who participate. Come dressed to impress and bring your clubs. If you don’t have clubs, no worries, there will be some available to use. The event will take place between 4:30-5:30 pm on Thursday, October 31, 2019. Due to the threat of inclement weather, the Halloween Costume Contest scheduled for LAST NIGHT (Wednesday) at the Harrison County Fairgrounds has been moved to TONIGHT (Halloween), Oct. 31. The Trunk or Treat starts at 6 p.m. and the costume contest will begin at 7 p.m.
In D’Iberville, Trunk or Treat will get underway from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at the Bobby Recreational Field on Brodie Road.
In Ocean Springs, they’ll be hosting “Trick or Treat Down the Street” from 5 to 6 pm. Downtown ocean springs businesses will be passing out candy to kids starting at 5 pm. It’s followed by Witches Ride, a bicycle ride through the downtown area from 5 to 6 pm. Theater students from Ocean Springs High School will perform their “Thriller” dances throughout the evening. Trick-or-treating is from 6 to 8 pm.
In Biloxi, from 5:30 to 8 pm, the Salvation Army Kroc Center will have a costume contest for all ages at Kroctoberfest, from 5:30 to 8 pm at the Salvation Army Kroc Center located on Division Street. Food will be on hand for purchase. No adult masks are allowed. Admission to Kroctoberfest is free.
The House of Payne will be open from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m.Entry is a donation of a nonperishable food item which will be donated to a local charity. The event takes place in the Recreation Center at the D’Iberville Sports Complex, 10063 Kajja Drive
