Why Does Lee Brice Say 'I Hope You're Happy Now' Is Hard To Sing?

Lee Brice has one of the strongest voices in country music, but that doesn't mean that he doesn't struggle to sing "I Hope You're Happy Now" alongside Carly Pearce.

As Lee and Carly prep for their upcoming performance on the ACM Awards stage, Lee dropped in with Cody Alan to reveal why this song is hard to perform.

"Well, two things," states Lee. "It's maybe the most rangy song for a guy to get up there and really do it the way it's supposed to be done."

"Then, honestly, it's a true duet," shares the "One Of Them Girls" singer. "So, you are going from like, I am this person, and I am that person, and I am singing background for that person.

So, it sounds like it's connected when you just listen to the song, but when you are singing it, you are doing a lot of different parts immediately after the next."

"It's complicated to do live," says the country star.

We can't wait to see this performance.
