TMSG: Listener Calls In To Tell Personal Story Of Woman Saving His Life

TMSG - Listener Story

Patrick from Nashville, Tennessee called into The Bobby Bones Show and wanted to share his story about a woman saving his life after an accident.

It was about four months ago, Patrick was riding his motorcycle home and two cars in the opposing lanes got into an accident. One of those cars spun out and hit Patrick off his bike, head on. His leg was ripped off on the scene and he says he was "laying in the middle of the road, bleeding out." A nurse from Kansas City named Meredith was driving by in an Uber, in town for a Bachelorette party. She asked the Uber to pull over and she jumped out to immediately aide Patrick. She took his belt off and built a tourniquet to stop the bleeding, saving his life.

Patrick says Meredith is his guardian angel. He was told that with an injury like his, it only takes about 2 minutes for a person to bleed out, but since Meredith stopped, she saved his life considering that the ambulance didn't make it to him until 8 minutes after the accident.

But the good news didn't stop there, while Patrick was at Vanderbilt recovering, Meredith stopped by. She did everything she could to find him, but only knowing his first name, she had to check all over the hospital. Finally, the two were able to meet and he was able to thank her. Patrick says they talk every day and stay in contact, but he told Bobby Bones "Without her, I wouldn't be here today. I love you, Meredith."

While on the phone with Bones, Patrick shared he just left his doctor's appointment. He is now able to drive himself, and is able to get around on crunches, but is still waiting for his prosthetic leg. He shared that despite everything, the situation has given him a whole new prospective on life and really just wants to shoutout to Meredith in Kansas City. Listen to his whole story above.
