Alan Jackson has postponed his remaining 2022 tour dates until next year.

The legendary country artist will reschedule the final two shows of the year — which were slated for Atlantic City, New Jersey, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania — because he’s “dealing with some health issues related to his neurological condition,” Atlantic City’s Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall confirmed in a tweet. Pittsburgh-based PPG Paints Arena added: “Alan is dealing with health issues related to the neurological condition (Charcot-Marie-Tooth or CMT). Organizers plan to reschedule, all tickets will be honored for future show date.”

Jackson was set to perform at those venues on Friday (October 7) and Saturday (October 8), respectively. Jackson’s website notes that the shows have been postponed; however, the site has not been updated with the new dates as of publication time on Thursday (October 6). Mayo Clinic describes Charcot-Marie-Tooth as “a group of inherited disorders that cause nerve damage,” often in the arms and legs. Some symptoms include weakness in the legs, frequent tripping or falling and more.

Jackson announced the “Last Call: One More for the Road” Tour earlier this year, marking his first one since he revealed last fall that he has the chronic inherited neuropathy condition that impacts his muscle function and balance.

“I’ve always admired my heroes like George JonesMerle HaggardLoretta Lynn and Charley Pride who just played as much as they wanted to, as long as they could,” Jackson said in a statement at that time. “I’ve always thought I’d like to do that, and I’d like to as long as my health will allow,” he said, adding with a smile, “I’ll try to do as much as I can, but if I’m comin’ your way, come see me….”
