PICK OF THE WEEK: "Ant-Man and the Wasp" (PG-13)
If you haven't seen the original, do yourself a favor and WATCH! This isn't your typical superhero movie! It's ABSOLUTELY HYSTERICAL! Paul Rudd is a gem to look at, but this movie is filled with great sidekicks and on-liners as well.
In the sequel, Paul Rudd is on house arrest after the events of "Captain America: Civil War", but that doesn't stop Michael Douglas and Evangeline Lilly from asking for his help in trying to rescue the original Wasp, Michelle Pfeiffer, from wherever she disappeared years ago.
RUNNER UP: "The First Purge" (R)
I'll admit, I only watched the first "Purge". The concept was INSANE and since seeing it, I've always wondered how something like this would even begin and catch on, which is why I'm intrigued by this one.
The fourth movie in the series is a prequel where a new political party offers $5,000 to anyone who'll stay on Staten Island while they conduct a social experiment of letting people violently release their aggression in an isolated community for 12 hours. Marisa Tomei (REALLY GIRL?!) is the scientist who designed the experiment, which as we all know, eventually gets out of control and spreads across the entire nation.
