#Kindness in action at a Texas elementary school

A kindergarten class in Lewisville, Texas, headed to school for the new school year, ready to learn how to read, write and do math. But thanks to a schoolwide "kindness challenge,” they also got an early lesson on how to brighten the days of others.

One parent of a kindergartener noticed that the school crossing guards picked up coffee from the same coffee shop every day. So, they organized for the class to pay for that coffee, at least for a few months.

And when the students delivered the coffee -- along with gift certificates for coffee -- the crossing guards were surprised and thrilled, offering hugs and explaining how much it means to have the kids in their lives every day. (Big thanks to KXAS-TV)
