Most the online challenges we've seen recently have been dangerous or pointless like the "In My Feelings" challenge where kids are jumping out of moving cars.
We jump to challenges that seem to have purpose like the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge a few years back or the Lemon-face challenge for local DIPG patient Aubreigh who just lost her battle. It's nice to see a challenge that's kind and brings awareness.
There's a new trend called the "Tip the Bill Challenge," where people are tipping servers 100%. Basically, if your bill is $25, you add a $25 tip on top of it. Some people have left WAY more than that! After you've done it, you are supposed to post the bill online with the hashtag...so one reason it's popular is you get to BRAG about it to your friends. However, humblebragging or not, I think its something that is only making the world a nicer place, even if its a passing fad. Servers work HARD. I know because I've been one.
There are already about 2,000 posts on Instagram alone with the hashtag "TipTheBill" or "TipTheBillChallenge." Make someone's day if you get the chance.
