"He was a great scientist and an extraordinary man whose work and legacy will live on for many years. His courage and persistence with his brilliance and humor inspired people across the world." A beautiful statement made by the family of one of the most brilliant minds of all time.
I'll be brutally honest right now...I was never the studious type. In school, I was all about making the grade to ensure my place on the roster of whatever sport I was playing at the time. Stephen Hawking, a name in which I heard and knew was important, meant very little to me. The older I've gotten, the more my curiosity has peaked regarding the unknown. If anything, Hawking was known for brilliant theories and studies, whether everyone agreed with them or not. He has become one of my favorite go-to's in life. Often times I will think "I wonder what Hawking thought of this".
Here's a little clip of the movie that made a whole generation of people more so understand the mind and life of a man that contributed so much to our society. If you haven't seen it, please do. Not only is Eddie Redmayne incredible in this role, but your heart will swell and break, and your mind will expand. After all, what is life if not learning as we grow? Thank you, Mr. Hawking, for your "Theories of Everything".
The smartest man in the world is now among the stars that he loved so much.
